As long as you skip the fabric softener and follow the care instructions, it's made to hold up wash after wash.

No, we don't add any scent or attractant to this pad. Any scent would wash out the first time it's cleaned, so we didn't build the pad around one.

We recommend using it anywhere she spends time, not just the floor. That includes her bed, the couch, covering a door mat, or inside her crate. The waterproof layer works the same on any surface, so wherever an accident happens, it's caught before it reaches what's underneath.

Most washable pads that leak or slide are missing one of two things:
- A real waterproof layer
- A real non-slip base
We built this pad with both. The waterproof layer stops liquid from reaching your floor even when the pad is fully soaked, and the non-slip base keeps it from sliding out of place. If the one you tried before didn't hold up, it likely was missing one of these two pieces, or had them too thin to do the job.

No. The absorbent core is designed to hold urine inside the pad rather than let it sit on the surface, which keeps everyday odor to a minimum. We still recommend washing it as soon as you can after each use, so nothing has a chance to build up in the fabric over time.
